A Current-Commutation DC Circuit Breaker with Adaptive Reclosing Capability

چکیده

DC faults are critical events in a flexible high-voltage dc (HVDC) grid. Thus, ensuring that the power system returns to normal operation rapidly and reliably after fault isolation is very important. This requires HVDC breaker. In overhead line systems under temporary faults, reclosing often required. However, once circuit breaker (DCCB) reclosed directly, large second overcurrent may occur which could damage electronic devices. To avoid this problem, current-commutation with adaptive capability proposed. Compared traditional auto-reclosing strategy, permanent condition can be avoided by proposed DCCB, identify property. hybrid breaking branch composed of lots IGBTs replaced branch, employed interrupt bi-directional current. Moreover, bypassing configured reduce energy dissipation arrester shorten time effectively. Finally, simulation cases PSCAD /EMTDC verify effectiveness superiorities DCCB.
